Best Devonshire Cream Tea at Grantchester ...

We spent a lovely afternoon at Grantchester's Orchard Tea Garden. It's truly a lovely relaxing place where you can sit out on lawn chairs and just soak in the sun while munching on freshly baked scones with clotted cream and jam together with of course tea. It's self service so you queue up and get your food from inside. They serve proper meals but after a certain time, they only have their tea (scones, cakes and of course tea). Important to go in a group so that some can guard your seats while others get the tea. It's a group effort people!

Best scones we had. It's really huge but trust me, it's easy to finish every single crumb cuz it's super yummy. We had other cakes too but I think the scones were the most memorable. We spread think layers of clotted cream, butter and jam. Thus, it explains the tight jeans after tea *laughs*

Nearby is a lovely field where you can let the kids run about and a pretty little river next to it. It got cold after a while so we headed back. Was a lovely way to spend the afternoon over the weekend.

On drive back, we came across heaps of rapeseed fields and we finally stopped by one so that we could hop out to take some pictures. It's really beautiful. The field below isn't as thick as some that we saw but still as pretty. Yellow field, blue sky. Beautiful!

Learnt a very important life lesson that afternoon. Never step into a fully bloomed rapeseed field when you're dressed in dark clothings unless you're prepared to be covered with yellow pollen. And trust me, they cling on to you and takes forever to dust off.

After a few more days in Nottingham and London for work, I headed off to Paris.Unfortunately it was just for a few days. Wished I had more time there cuz there's so much to see and do. So lookout for the next post ...
