Gingerbread and doughnut plushies

Am busily 'baking' these gluten-free, sugar-free and calorie-free doughnut and gingerbread plushies. Perfect if you're on a diet or want something healthy. Will be adding more to the doughnut menu. Currently, I only have chocolate with rainbow sprinkles or pink frosted doughnuts with chocolate chip topping :o)

Big Walk 2006

Yes, I finally joined heaps other people today to do the Big Walk as a fun walker (that means, I will TRY to finish the route and if I don't manage to it's okay cuz I'm not competing. Ha!)

First time doing it and it was quite an experience. Have the aching body to show for it but am glad I finished. Helped that I wasn't alone but with a few other people. And it took us two hours to walk the whole 10km and it was nice when we saw the 9km flag. Didn't feel so tired then. Were there moments where I felt like giving up? Sure thing but kinda impossible to give up anyways cuz roads were closed and no traffic allowed...how was I going to jump on a bus or take a cab? Kinda smart when you think about it cuz it forces you to have to walk *laughs*

And yes, being a typical Singapore event, shopping was included as part of this affair. Odd thing was a saw heaps of them aunties and makciks who were at the finished area and didn't look like they broke a single drop of sweat. And they were armed with 12 bottles of sunflower cooking oil and trolley bag of 3 in 1 coffee mix. Hmmm, did they actually walk or were they there to buy the goodies that were on offer? *grins*

And yes, I did shop to. Bought them heated plasters and pedometer for my Dad. And those who never owned a pedometer, it comes with a long instruction list. Geez, here I was dumb enough to think all I had to do was clip it on and walk. Nope, not that simple.

As to whether I will do the Big Walk for next year, let's wait and see. To the others who did the Big Walk today..congratulations. Hope you had as much fun as I did! :o)

Fancy Faire 2006

Just some pictures of the tables that were set up at the Fancy Faire 2006. The ballroom was nicely lit up but hard to tell from the pictures.

Baby Gem - Gorgeous Semi-Precious Jewellery and Accessories

Toys From the Heart

We're all set and hope we'll be able to find good owners for both the jewellery and toys!

Updates: Faire over and it was good fun. We didn't make as much money as we had hoped but it was a start. Thanks to Mag and Azalea for helping with my stuff. Mag, you are meant to sell things dear. I swear she is damn good with the kids!

Thanks to Azalea who popped by both days and helped buy lunch. She also made the quiet moments bearable by making us laugh so much.

Thanks to our dear friends too who came by to lend support. We really appreciated it.

Lots of learning for me personally. Thought I was a good judge of character but I guess I am not. And am glad that there are still good people out there I call good friends who can be trusted. Trust is something hard to come by and once the trust in a person is gone, it's almost impossible to get back. In life so far, I've had two people that I thought I could trust but they both disappointed me. For one it happened twice (ya, I was dumb enough to think that the person would change but nope ....) and recently, another 'friend' disappointed me.

But anyways, that's life ya :o) Anyways, will update how much we raised for the Breast Cancer Foundation from the sale of them toys!

Last batch for now ...

From top left: Kawaii.Cat and Retro.Cat
From bottom left: Gaea.Cat, Tape.Cat and Pokka.Cat

These are the last batch of cats for now. I will be making more at a later date. So these are it for now.

They are made from mainly cotton fabrics, I used felt for their faces and stuffed them with polyfill. Everything has been stitched and there are no small parts. Each cat measures 9 inches by 8.5 inches. Each cat costs only S$30.

For toys which have the colour PINK, even if it is a dash of pink, I will donate 10% of the proceeds from sale of these items to the Breast Cancer Foundation (Singapore). These are my Awareness Toys, a way to promote Breast Cancer Awareness, especially among us ladies. Email me if you would like to purchase any of these cats! International orders accepted.
